The Occasional One Odd Piece

            Console Table are good for brightening a passageway or a hall which is not very wide.

How often have you heard the ”one odd piece” story ! In designers parlance it refers to the quintessential monotony breaker if not more. It could more so be the trendsetter for the entire carved wood genealogy present in the room. 

It could well enough be the attention center around which the theme, color scheming or setting of the room revolves or in more grim circumstances be the attention seeker reflecting no more than the poor taste on the designer or owners part. 

Now ”poor taste” not for having chosen the piece but poor taste for having put it in a place while it deserves better. We would recommend the piece be put where it will get admiring glances from your self and your guests.

Having recently moved into our new home, we were looking for some bedroom furniture.  There are lots of different types of furniture styles and designs to choose from. We were looking for furniture which is well built and elegant without looking heavy and bulky.

We discovered that there is a lot of choice, but the quality , service and price varies significantly.

After many evenings spent on the internet, and many weekends visiting various showrooms/shops, the company I finally chose are long established , and well versed in selling French furniture
They have the most elegant pieces of furniture, which are depicted beautifully on their website.  To my utter astonishment and delight the furniture looks even better in the flesh.

What I like is their no nonsense approach to selling. I had been put off by the hard selling approach taken by many high end furniture boutiques. As anyone would knows furniture is a very personal thing that you will have in your house for many years and the choice has to be yours and only yours.

The French Furniture Company have a large selection of French Bedroom Furniture , and French style Beds around which entire collections are centered.  I chose the Empress bed , the matching chaise longue in gold leaf and some bedside tables with white marble tops.

Well rested  and a few £'s lighter I left the showroom.
